The road to becoming a Green Beret in the United States Army is an arduous one. It is critical that candidates physically prepare their body for Special Forces training through the complete spectrum of training modalities – muscle hypertrophy, absolute strength, strength endurance, power, and aerobic endurance.

Prior to shipping for OSUT or SFAS, the Army has contracted the Tactical Human Optimization Rapid Rehabilitation and Reconditioning (THOR3) group to create general programs for selection prep.
